SLA@SOI Information Day, Oct 28th 2010

- from Scientific Advances to Industrial Innovation

What a successful event! Thank you to all those who made it, and to all those that tried but were thwarted by transport disruptions. For a write-up of the event please see here.

Being able to automatically negotiate your own personal service level agreement (SLA) across multiple providers, being able to automatically manage and optimise perhaps thousands of customers each with their own personalised SLA – welcome to the world that SLA@SOI is delivering on.

Service-orientation and cloud computing are two of the most compelling trends in IT today. We in SLA@SOI believe that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are a key technology for transforming service and cloud offerings into tradeable goods. This EC-funded project has invested 2 years of in-depth research and analysis into the domain, developing a comprehensive architecture and reference implementation for SLA management, and evaluating the results in four complementary industrial use cases.

All interested parties are cordially invited to our information day where we will share and discuss our results to date. The event is designed to appeal to both scientific and industrial stakeholders, our morning session featuring scientific and technical aspects of SLA management and the afternoon session focusing on business and adoption interests. The event will be held in the Cinédoc room (see campus map) of  Brussels EXPO, Place de Belgique 1, Brussels on September 28th, 2010.

What can you expect to get out of this event?

  • practical experience

    • demonstrations of effective SLA management in these four use-cases
