Service Management
This work package addresses the SLA-related support functionality for the management of software services, i.e. services and components realizing a SOA thus comprising applications, processes, business logic and also middleware functionality. As such it acts as mediator between the SLA management (WP A5) and the actual SOA components (e.g. as provided by the use cases in action line B).
Similar to the SLA management, this work package supports the whole lifecycle of services covering modelling, planning, provisioning, monitoring, and adjustment.
Specific research objectives include:
- Enhanced modelling of SOA components for supporting SLA management
- Support for service provisioning by modelling of running/planned software landscapes
- Dynamic service discovery & composition
- Unified SOA manageability interfaces
- Advanced SOA management techniques (including monitoring)
- Multi-provider/Multi-domain Services Management
