SLA Management & Foundations
This work package addresses the technical definitions and services for the management of SLAs within a service-oriented architecture set in place by a service provider. It provides the set of services and definitions for the main architecture to manage the lifecycle of an SLA; from SLA template creation, selection, negotiation, down to monitoring, and provisioning, possible enforcement or necessary automatic adjustment to cope with the SLA requirements.
This includes:
- Technical specification of SLAs
- Service/SLA Template registry and discovery
- Translation of SLAs within or between the layers within the architectures
- SLA negotiation services that links a service requester or consumer with a service provider or mediator
- SLA optimization/scheduling/planning
- SLA monitoring infrastructure
- SLA provisioning/activation/execution control
